Victory one.. I finished the Tacoma City 1/2 Marathon yesterday with a time ten minutes better than my best estimate! Woot!
Victory two.. after six months of steady weight GAIN, discovered my hormone based iud was heavily assisting me in gaining. Had it removed, and have lost 8 pounds this week since! That was with no other changes to my diet/exercise either! FINALLY, progress!!!

Seriously, your IUD made you gain?!?
    That's crazy!
I've had mine since February and haven't had an negative effects at all.
    In fact, all positive.
    My periods went away. :))

Congrats on your lost, but I too would like to know what IUD you had...I'm going in 15 day to have one installed... I already have a hard time to lose weight, I would not want to have something in my body that would make me gain...

It was the Mirena hormone based one. They actually gave me the wrong one, I had requested the copper Paragard, with NO hormones. Three years later.. guess who's finally losing the baby weight?! WOOT!

Oh, also.. turns out that after around three years or so, the Mirena pumps out additional hormones.. (it made me stop having a period altogether, gain weight, as well as, not be able to lose weight all the way back from when my little one was born three years ago.) I had dropped weight right after birth and steadily until it was placed.. unfortunate that I never associated the two seeing as though I was told I had the other one in!! Double check em' ladies!!
