Hey everyone! I'm looking for friends to help keep me on track and I'll do the same! I am 24, live in the Midwest, trying to lose a solid 15.
It's really hard for me to lose weight. I haven't been working out lately (started this week again), but have run half marathons in the past. I just struggle with cutting back on calories cause it's so fun to eat! I LOVE food so much. I love dinner parties, friends, eating with friends, sharing good beverages, so much of my life is centered around social situations that involve food. I also love to run. I love theatre. I love people.
Alright, well good luck to all !! Hopefully new friends to be made :-)

I adore food too! I have a thing against dieting as well. I want to eat it's one of the things in life I enjoy so I've been trying to find ways to deal with my love of food and my need to stay in my calorie count!
Here's to helping each other and getting there!0 -

Hi There!!
I too have a passion for food....and beverages:-) I totally understand trying to fit my social life in a healthy lifestyle.
I'm also from the midwest, mn to be specific, and am new to this...trying to find a way to stay motivated and stick to it for once!!!
I'm looking to lose 15-20 lbs by mid summer....sooner if I can, but want to go about it in a healthy way.
For physical activity, I enjoy walking, and once I put my nose to the grindstone on working out, I can usually stick with it.
I have a desk job, so there's lots of time to eat, as well as all the lovely co-workers who bring snacks too. Temptation is in my face always!!
Looking forward to chatting with others and getting a little motivation wherever i can!!!0 -
Welcome, this site is awesome and it really works. I'll tell you, if you love food, you have to workout. That's all there is to it. I LOVE to eat so I workout like a dog so I have plenty of calories to consume. I have truly found that as long as I can have what I want in moderation, this is really an easy thing to do. The key is moderation though. You will also find as you educate yourself about just how many calories there are in things that some things are not worth it. I love bagels with cream cheese but when 1 bagel with 2 T of cream cheese is a quarter of my daily calorie allotment, they're not that good!! Good luck! Oh, and I"m originally from the midwest-St. Louis but I live in Florida now. I'm going back to St. Louis this summer for my high school reunion (lost the weight before that was planned-lucky coincidence!) and I'm planning my whole weekend around food!0

I love food, I love to eat. MFP put me at a base 1200 but I exercise a lot so usually eat between 2000 & 2400 per day. So if you want food, that is the way to go. Exercise and eat your exercise calories back. I've lost a lot of weight this way, and continue to do so even though getting towards the end of my weight loss - lost over 4 this week.
Good luck, friend me if you like.0 -
Hello!
You sound just like me!
I love food, cooking, a bit of sport now and again - however no massive commitment there for me - I've just signed up for a shortish run as 'insiration' (more like scare tactics!)
I could do with some inspiration too - I think my love of the snack is my major letdown - I just cant shift that last bit of weight.
Good luck to you too!0 -

I too love to eat. I have been putting off losing anything because I just feel overwhelmed and don't really know where to start! I am determined to at least start out this week by getting on the elliptical at home for a short time every day. Gotta start somewhere...0
