You may want to add some more details in there. I will assume you mean losing weight and using My Fitness Pal?

Start by plugging your info into the program and start measuring and logging all your food. Enter your exercise. Keep logging.

That is really all you have to do. If you fall down, get back up. If you eat too much - just start fresh the next day. Don't try to compensate for one day by eating less the next....that always spirals down for me.

You just have to decide you want it and go for it. No excuses.

    Best of luck!

Track everything you eat as accurately as you can. It is tedious at first but becomes second nature.
Eat within the recommended calorie limits myfitnesspal gives you. If you exercise, do not eat back all of the calories that myfitnesspal calculates as these amounts are known to be too high (by as much as half for some!).
As far as motivation goes, you really have to have a no excuses attitude. Commit to making lasting, worthwhile changes to your lifestyle, not just starting another diet to lose weight. You will have days when you fail and days when you succeed.....learn from both. Don't let the days you fail become your latest excuse for quitting.

Consistency. Really, the best way to get going is to start something and be consistent about it. Tracking your food, and hitting specific calorie and macro goals are where it's at for nutrition. As for exercise, I like at-home fitness programs because they give you structure to follow and, depending on who makes them, are made quite well with lots of research and testing before they are released.
