Apart from the fact that Fitbit and MyFitnessPal give completely different 'Calories remaining' figures from the same food and exercise numbers, has anyone else had sync problems today? The MFP numbers are showing up correctly - and promptly in the Fitbit app, but nothing's showing up in MFP for exercise - not even the usual random number...

no issues here. You might want to try disconnecting (from both sites)/reconnecting.0

Disconnect on MyFitnessPal.
Then go to Fitbit.com, log in to the dashboard, and choose applications under settings. Revoke access for MFP.
Return to MFP, reconnect.
That always seems to fix my problems with the two failing to sync. Sometimes just connecting/reconnecting on MFP does the job, but not always.0 -
Thanks! I'll give the nuclear option a try.0

I had that problem three days ago, and I restarted my phone. That worked for me and it hasn't happened since.0

Yes, I had issues yesterday but it resolved itself last night. Are you still have a problem?0

I had the same problem and apparently my device wasn't paired with the account I had just set up lol! I emailed customer services. Within a few hours they replied, spotted the problem and sent me the link to fix it.0

Did you contact customer service for MFP or Fitbit?
FWIW, I have 2 different email addresses/login ids on the two sites. My MFP data (food eaten, manually logged exercise in MFP) seems to be coming through to Fitbit.com. There seems to be no transfer of information from Fitbit to MFP (which I was really hoping for).0 -
[edit: update to my post above:]
I did get it to work (sync in both directions, MFP to Fitbit (Zip)).
Having different email addresses on the fitbit.com and myfitnesspal.com accounts was not an issue after all contrary to the guidance I have seen here about "make them exactly the same including timezone".
The steps that I followed were as follows:
1 Revoke access to fitbit.com from MFP on both sides as is commonly described here
2 Regrant access to fitbit.com data from MFP
3* Ensure that in the MFP "Steps" menu that the fitbit device is selected
4* Allow negative adjustments to calorie count be made (checkbox)
5* Go to bed and let a new day start
Upon awaking the next morning and performing a normal fitbit device sync, a -80 calorie adjustment was now showing in MFP! I first noticed it in the MFP app (on android tablet) on the home page in the Calories remaining section at the top of the page (a bar graph displaying Fitbit Tracker steps is now showing below the calories remaining calculation).
The adjustment also shows on the MFP App Diary page for me below Snacks and above the Water section .
In the website (fitbit.com) the information is most noticeably showing up on the exercise diary page in the Cardiovascular box. I have not manually entered any exercise yet for the day, but a -80 calorie entry with exercise type of fitbit calorie adjustment is now showing along with the "i" circle mentioned elsewhere here.
The 80 calorie adjustment also shows up (unlabeled and easy to miss) on the Myhome page of MFP.

I've had this problem for a week now and whenever I try these steps MFP won't allow me to disconnect from fitbit, I've tried it through the app and on the site, no joy either way, anyone have any ideas?

Try turning off bluetooth on all your mobile devices to ensure no connection, then unlink MFP and Fitbit and relink.1 -

Can't believe this didn't occur to me, it did the trick perfectly, thanks for the help.0
