Weight loss is not linear. It goes up some days and it goes down some days. It's the trend downward that is important.0

Yeah, it's very frustrating but 4 pounds in two days is not fat regain. Weight will fluctuate and freeze seemingly at random and that's not what you want to see, but it's normal and you aren't doing anything wrong. As long as you stick to what you know works your weight will start moving back in the right direction. At times like these I like to keep measurements so that I can monitor what my body is doing with the weight. If the measurements are stable or go down then there is nothing to worry about and the scale will eventually show it.0

Don't panic! Keep on keepin' on! I've cut back on salt, and notice that although my weight can go up and down before I loose, it doesn't as much. Think of all the hard work you've put in. It's absolutely normal. Maybe only weigh once a week?0

If you are still in a deficit, keep on going
Trust me, sodium intake can cause you to hold water weight.
It is very improbable that weight gain is fat. It takes a month on a a huge surplus to even gain that much fat.0 -
Why did you take a laxative? are you constipated? if u are eating a healthy veried diet you shoulnt need to take laxatives!
Ideally you should be weighing yourself once week on the same day in the morning because everyones weight goes up and down!0 -
I have gained up to 9 lbs in a day and lost the same amount overnight. These somtimes big fluctuations are normal. So .. the moral, just do what you need to do and keep at it. And .. "the scale" is imho the worst way to measure success. So .. time to take a deep breath and just keep at it. It happens to all of us.0
