Basic Pasta Recipe Question - is this recipe calling for dry vs. cooked?

I'm slightly embarrassed to have to ask but I want to be sure so embarrassment it is.
I am making a mac and cheese tonight, here is the specific recipe: http://www.acouplecooks.com/2012/01/smoky-mac-and-cheese-with-squash-and-spinach/
Recipe calls for "12 oz pasta" for a meal intended to serve 4. Does that means I cook 12 oz of dry pasta? Or I should have 12 oz of pasta once it is cooked?
For reference, this recipe is 705 calories per serving.
Thanks in advance!
