Feel silly but..

I hit my first goal - 10lbs down!
And a non-scale victory: I'm down a clothing size. I went from a sz 14 to size 12 pant.
I was all upset because i seemed to be "plateau"-ing for the last couple weeks, bouncing between 169 and 171... but then I realized, I lost 8 lbs in a month which I think is pretty good, and that I should just keep on keeping on. I did, and I dropped water weight or something and I'm now at my 10lb goal. 1/3 of the way to my final goal weight range!!

Awesome!
I did the same thing ... bounced from 168-170 for the last week or so, but realized that I only started on April 6th and I went from 181 to a few bobbles in the high 160's/low 170's ... not bad for jusunder 4 weeks. WTG!0 -

Good job! I get like that too, where I think that it should be more than it is, but when you look at the big picture (ie month) it's easier to see what you've accomplished. You'll be at your goal in no time!0

congrats.
shouldn't feel silly, feel accomplished.
Setting small goals like that is a great way to achieve the larger goals in the long run.
I like breaking mine down into 5 pound achievements.0 -
Congradulation...............keep it up..............stay motivated..............:flowerforyou:0

Thanks! I really hope so. :-)
I haven't been below 160 in about 15 yrs so that would be amazing0 -

Yeah, it seems less daunting when you break it down. And it also seems like less of a burden when you say it like "1/3 down, 2/3 to go"0 -
Good for you!! Keep up the good work.

Aww, thanks Brittany!
I think I've lost inches too - You're doing an awesome job in that dept yourself! And really, that's the true sign of weight loss.0 -
Congratulations! I've never put too much stock in weight. I used to weigh 165 and was a size 8 (I am 5'10') then I left my very physical job, gained 3 lbs...and two pant sizes. Alot of my muscle turned to fat. I only weighed 3 lbs more but went up to a size 12!!! I think going down a pant size is a tremendous accomplishment.0

Yeah, it's great to see that number drop but really, having my clothes fit nicer is the real bonus. I'm fairly muscular so even when I am working out constantly (I've done some jobs that are heavy duty workouts) my weight stays really high. I'd like to balance the two this time.0 -
Great job!0
