No more alcohol until New Years Eve, anyone else with me?

It may not seem long to most people, but for someone who imbibes a few times a week I think it is going to make a big difference.
My weight loss is plateaued, alcohol calories usually send me over the edge of my goal. The day after I drink, I want crappy food, and I have NO energy.
So I am ready to do a no alcohol for two weeks+ challenge and see if it gets me over the hump and if I feel really amazing maybe I'll continue on sober sally.

If anyone else is a regular drinker and want to take this challenge with me and have some support, just comment below!

Haven't had a drink since probably early october so I guess I'm in lol. Planned on celebrating new years on the Las Vegas strip since I turned 21 this year and can legally do so..

Not a big drinker, but we enjoyed couple drinks in the week. But since i started 11 weeks ago my new life style we both ( hubby and i) dont drink.
We had 2 exceptions to celebrate and we consumed both 2 glasses of champagne.

So yes we are in :)

Ummm, no. I just bought a bottle of wine. Then there's the tequila. Maybe make me some Mexican Bulldogs.

    So in conclusion... hell no.

After a party tonight, I'm going on a diet until Christmas. So I will commit through then.

I completely quit drinking when I started my weight loss journey in May 2013. What a win win! I feel better, I look better, I am so glad I did it! After two weeks of not drinking you will hopefully loose the urge to drink anymore. After several months it just wasn't part of my life anymore. This is such an empowering time of year to achieve any difficult goals! All the power to you, I wish you success & happiness!!!!!!!

Never. Although I did decide to give up rum and eggnog this year.... last year I drank enough to do me for two Christmases I think lol :)

Count me in. After this weekend, I need a break. Hangovers suck as you age.
  • I'm pretty much giving up drinks, but with two exceptions: Christmas day and NYE (husband's birthday). However, I would totally join you in no drinks for the first weeks or months of the new year!

After tonight as I am going to a Wine Maker's dinner. I plan to cut it out for the rest of this week and part of next week as well. Going back up to Napa after Christmas so sorry can't hold out till NYE! Good challenge though. I will do my best.

'K, you're on. I really like a homebrew each evening. The empty calories add up.

Next batch after new years I will try to evaporate the alcohol to create very low ABV. It worked before.
