Surviving the Holidays

So this week has been challanging,This has been my first week back full time, regular duty with my cane.I have had an evening meeting and an Xmas party and have another one today.I feel so stressed by the business. So far my knee is holing up.Some of the woman I work with came up and hugged me.I worked in the Nicu And used an interpreter to help a mom get her baby latched and the baby did so awesome. It was so awesome. The baby's nurse smiled at me and said it was nice to have me back.I so love doing what I do I'm so lucky that I have not loss the ability to be a Lactation consultant because of my knees

Yes it's the silly season. Just keep logging, that's the main thing.

sounds like a challenge. only put on a brave face when you must. I appreciate your sincerity here. Keeping a brave face on for the sake of other's comfort is exhausting.

    Focus on the positives, too.

Sure, maybe you can't have holiday treats in the quantities you have had in the past but you can still have fun!

Focus on your family and friends and spending time with them.
Go out of your way to help someone.
Log regularly and plan in advance for the parties and get togethers.

    We CAN do this!
