Okay, so I have a workout routine that I came up with this morning. I tried to do today's and I couldn't do it! It was too much! Granted, I'm going from being mostly Sedentary to starting to workout, so I know I'm going to have to work at getting my endurance built up.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I should modify my workout, please let me know. I'm using workout DVDs.
Monday:
30 Minute Walk
Fast Start (1 mile)
15 minutes of core tightening
15 minutes of body scuplting
Tuesday:
Muscle Mile One
Fast Start (2 miles)
30 minutes core tightening
30 minutes body scuplting
15 minutes yoga
Wednesday:
Walk Strong Express
Fast Start (1 mile)
15 minutes of core tightening
15 minutes of body scuplting
Thursday:
Walk Diet One Mile
Fast Start (2 miles)
You Can Do Pilates
15 minutes Yoga
Friday:
3 Fast Miles
15 minutes of core tightening
15 minutes of body scuplting

I would simply start by walking..or you can get walking dvd's that are fun to do , that's how I started, After a month or two of doing that I would do something I like ( I love dancing so I do Zumba) but depending on you and what you like their are tons out there..
I still train 5 times a week and am soon going for 6 times a week , I don't strength train yet as I don't need definition to my muscles yet but I do ab workouts and push-ups ( Can do 5 now..lol)

What I have learned is that if you over do it and simply do not what you like doing , you will not stick to it,,

Go on youtube and look for workout videos or google popular workout videos ..you will get amazon's top selling ones, then go check on youtube if you would like it.. For now I went on youtube and looked for Zumba videos..I add them up to 45 minutes to 1 hours and have fun !!!

    good luck

When I started working out I walked for 1.5 to 3 miles a day at whatever pace I could. Within a week or two I moved up to Jillian Michaels 30 day shred level 1 and copied the red head with the legs to her nose (she is the easy one). I still had to take breaks from that 20 min workout to cuss out the tv. I really like your workout plan, but if it is too much for you cut back. Find something that will interest and motivate you, don't overdo it early on, that only leads to injuries.

I began walking a few months ago and I simply went outside and took a walk. I can't walk or anything inside because it quickly becomes boring to me. The important part is to find something you like, if you find something you like you will stick with it. I don't do things I don't enjoy doing. I push myself, but there is a difference between pushing yourself and doing damage. Good luck!

I started out with 30 minutes of exercise a day - 4 days a week and then increased from there. Don't try to do too much all at once - you will feel overwhelmed. Start slowly and build - make exercise a habit.

I would plan to alternate cardio & stength at first. Maybe MWF cardio and TTH strength. As you get stronger - add more strength. Stretching is great add on anytime. I just love Leslie - you've got a varied selection. Muscle mile & Express both have some toning benefits.

If you want toning & cardio in the same day - go for toning plus one mile. Another day go 3 miles plus stretching or yoga. Good luck!
