Miracle Noodles

Options
I just saw a link on the side of the page and clicked it. Has anyone ever heard of Miracle Noodles? Supposedly they are calorie, gluten, carb, everything free. Anyone tried them? How are they?

My cousin tried them last week..said they stink when you open them but after rinsing(I think that's package direction) and cooking them in the dish that she made, she said they weren't bad. Hoping to see what others think.

Yes I have tried them, they are good, but not quite the same as regular noodles. More slimy/firm consistency, and when you get them they are packed in water. They are definitely better than NO noodles though, if you MUST stay away from the carbs.

FYI - all they are is Shirataki noodles. You can go to any Asian grocer and get them for about $0.69-0.99 per bag, as opposed to the outrageous price they are on the miracle noodles site.

Search the boards for "miracle noodles" and "shiratake". Lots of good info here already. :)

I've heard they are good in the right recipe. I went to their website to find out where to buy. I thought about going to the health store and buying some this weekend to try.....

    Website:

Wiki about the main ingredient Glucomannan:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glucomannan

I'm not sure if they are vegan, but the website says "* wheat & gluten free and kosher."

    EDIT:
There is a lot of good/bad from MFP users in the forums as others on this thread have suggested. Here's the search:
