idk, I'm vegan and I don't? eating lots of veggies should help because of the fiber but honestly it's going to differ between everyone :--)

Omg. This happens to me too. But the funny thing is that It only happens when I have been eating a lot of unhealthy carbs. Drinking coffee does help (usually when I don't want it to,) But definitely drink lots of water. Water flushes everything out. And eat plainly just fruit and vegetables and lean meat (no red meat) for a couple of days (no carbs, grains or cheese!). This, along with drinking lots of water, will cleanse your system. If it doesn't then you may need to see a doctor but i'm pretty sure this will help.
I went out with my family over the weekend and we went out to eat about three times in two days. It hurt my stomach, but then I ate only vegetables for (only one day) and it helped it a lot!0 -

Thanks everyone. I increased my fiber tonight- just made eggs and 2 high fiber English Muffins for dinner instead of my leftover sushi. I also forgot to mention that my period will start Friday or so and that usually helps move things along. Hopefully tomorrow morning will bring relief though.0

How often do you normally go? Some people only regularly go every 3-4 days, so an extra day or two after a diet change is not anything crazy. If you're normally an every day type of person, I, personally, would try the ex lax and lots of water. If that doesn't get things moving, I would head to the doctor.0

I had the same issue once I started losing weight. Except I was super miserable. It lasted about 5 months.
The only thing that has worked for me (and I tried everything) is a daily magnesium supplement. I love being regular.

i take 5 HTP (pure with no fillers) and saffron ( with satiereal and no fillers) supplements- it helps me to go when my fat intake is low. Currently i am 60 carbs/30 protein/ and 10 fat

I take magnesium daily and use Smooth Move tea as needed.... it works wonders!!0

Drinking enough water will probably do the trick.
I drink fruit flavored, kefir smoothies (Liteway) and two cups of water before my morning coffee and that seems to help move things along...usually within 30-45 minutes, especially if I eat breakfast (not usually hungry after drinking the smoothie [420 g], water, and coffee).0 -

Drink a large glass of water first thing in the morning before you eat. I used to struggle with chronic constipation for YEARS. No amount of fiber would work and come to find out it was a lack of fluids. Drink about 15oz of water on an empty stomach and I bet you that you will go to the bathroom at least within 45 mins after drinking it. It works for me.0

Magnesium supplements can make you poop. Many people are deficient in magnesium, but are reluctant to take it because of this side effect.0

I find the magnesium supplement only help in the toilet department if I take them before bed on an empty stomach.0

You need more fat in your diet to get things moving.
Drink hot water every morning - Add more fat and fiber into your diet as well as drinking plenty of water all day long. This should do the trick!0 -
Does drinking warm water first thing in the morning really help? Can you add a bit of fresh lemon juice to the water? Or will that negate the benefits?0

I have IBS and suffer with constipation. Not everyone goes every day, it's not necessarily unhealthy to go 2-3 days without going. Having said that, there's no point increasing your fibre if you also increase your fluid intake. Fibre will act like concrete unless you flush it out with extra fluid. Everyone else is right - try a healthy remedy, a supplement (I use Movicol) and if not, use sweetners (I chew gum). If it's a regular occurrence, you really should see a doctor.0
