In search of Good Crunchy foods

I'm having a problem with food textures. I'm craving something really crunchy. I don't want to eat potato chips or anything too bad for me.

Any suggestions?

    Captain crunch? B)

In all seriousness, I crave crunchy things all the time. I like Stacy's Multigrain Pita Chips, popcorn, apples, nuts (but only if I can fit them - I overeat them) and Parmesan crisps.

Quest protein chips did it for me. I know a lot of people don't like them but I found them awesome for the calories (120 calories and 20g of protein). Pain to find though...

lots of veggies you can do in the oven that crisp up - check out pinterest for zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, broccoli and many more... oh carrots too... I was intrigued but haven't yet tried making any yet. With the cold weather here I probably will shortly. :)

I loooooove chips and I also love that I can lose weight with MFP and still eat chips everyday. My favorite are sea salt and cracked pepper kettle chips. Kettle chips are naturally crunchier anyway. The pepper makes them a stronger flavor, which means I am actually completely satisfied with the 1 oz serving. And they make me drink more water, which is always a plus.

I second the motion for roasted chickpeas.
I am a texture nut, too, and on stressful days I want to bite down on something. Better the food than somebody's arm.
Popcorn! Bulk Barn has an extra fluffy popcorn that leaves fewer bits behind.
    Finn crisp crackers.

I found myself picking up a few items at the store for the wife last week for a meal she was preparing and realized I was hungry so I looked for a snack without carbs. Even the roasted nuts had added sugar. Then I saw some pork skins (USA) or pork rinds (UK) with no carbs but fat and protein matched my current diet. I picked up more yesterday.

Maybe raw carrots? They really do pack a hefty crunch! Same with raw cauliflower :)

I like to munch on Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal, 200 calories for 49g (3/4 cup) which really is a lot, plus like 6g of fiber which is very important for me. It's super crunchy and lightly sweet, I really enjoy it.

It isn't hard to fit your favorite chips into a balanced diet. A snack size bag is usually around 150-160 calories.

For something with more protein, I like to munch on dry texture vegetable protein.
