Big cheeks

I am probably going to provoke quite a few sarcastic comments by this post – but maybe someone can relate/give advice? ;)

One of my main issues in terms of weight has always been my face – it's what made me decide to go on a diet in the very first place. No matter how much weight I loose, my cheeks and my chin remain big and round (struggling not to use the word fat here in order not to sound like crazy anorexic ;) ). I am not exaggerating: even when I was underweight (107 pounds at 5'5), the cheeks stayed just as big and one could still barely see my skulls.

The thing that annoys me most is that I see lots of people much heavier than me, or even obese, with slim faces. I feel like the face makes me look bigger overall, and even though I am pretty comfortable with my current body at 119 pounds, I am not satisfied with the amount of fat on my face.

I have managed to change my body composition and shape through hard work, so I find it hard to come to terms with the idea that the cheeks are always going to remain the only part which I cannot improve.

So the question is – is that possible at all? Has anyone had similar experience?
Please no plastic surgery suggestions!

Oh bless you, i am also blessed with a "moon face" and i totally hear you. No matter what size i am, i still have a round face and cheeks ... but on the positive side i think it makes us look younger than we are, look at my pic to see what i mean about my round face grrrr! I am in this thread to see if there is an answer, but i am guessing we just need to work with what our mommas gave us.
Are you sure your face is really that "big" and its not just a case that you have nothing left to focus on now you have got your body the way you want it? x

ooh something i do normally in pictures, on the very rare times i allow myself to be photographed, especially if there is folk in the pic is to try and open my jaw but as far as i can without opening my lips, that way it makes me look slightly longer faced, and also gives me a better chin.... please note i have not done this in my profile pic lol!x

To be honest, if you're blessed with a round and full face, rock that *kitten* like there's no tomorrow! I'm sure you look amazing

You aren't going to change the musculature or shape of the bones in your face - that is probably what is holding your face into that 'moon' look more so than fat in your face. I always wished to have sharp cheekbones but it's never going to happen unless I am so far underweight that I'll be ill. For some of us, we're just not genetically meant to have anything other than rounder cheeks. Celebrate your uniqueness and the gains you've made in the rest of your body.

pinkiezoom, you actualy look like you have a nice well defined chin line on your pic, that's what I would love to get! Good idea about the jaw, gotta try that. I use a few tricks for taking pics, but whenever I am caught off guard...Oh my.
