edited September 26 in Introduce Yourself
hey everyone!
i just joined MFP a week ago and decided to write on this message board and finally introduce myself. My names Trisha, I am 23, 5'4, 200 lb. and have been putting on lbs. since after i graduated high school in 2006. I was maybe a little overweight in high school but was on the swim team to keep fit. Looking back at pictures I realize I looked really good! I want to get back to what i looked like then. Since then my eating habits have been terrible along with not exercising. What really got me was waking up one day to find a little stretch mark on my tummy, i freaked out but still did nothing about it! Now i have multiple stretch marks. So yeah, i've been a member for about a week now and have already lost a few lbs. and an amazing thing is i have had no heart burn for the past week! (I would usually get heartburn everyday or close to that from all the greasy and terrible food i was eating.) Anyway, my goal is to lose 50-70 lbs. I feel i am pretty motivated but wouldn't mind any extra motivation and i would love to help motivate others so feel free to add me!!

So..... good for you!!!!!... and WELCOME! I, too, was an athlete in a former body and I struggle constantly with the reality of what I have done to myself over the years. You are doing the right thing, and if you need a friend.... here I am!..... (Way down deep inside this body!! ) :O)

    Go get it, girl!

Congrats on your progress, I too struggled after high school. I use to play hockey then when I stopped I shot up to 265lbs in 2007-2008 (I graduated 2006 too). After seeing pictures of myself I couldn't believe what I looked like and started exercising unfortunately I was not eating a healthy amount and it took me until the beginning of this year to really turn things around and Im 215ish pounds. I wish you much success.

Yay Trisha! We're totally going to kick butt. And you're doing awesome! I do wish I lived closer so that we could walk and stuff together but we always have the internet. =) Next time I come up to visit we totally need to get together! Keep up the awesome work.
