calories burned

i have recently changed my setting to sedentary in MFP so my calories went from 16xx to 1440. when i would log my elliptical exercise before, it said i burned 357 calories. now that the setting has changed it increased to 379. im confused

I'm not sure why but the calorie difference is not that concerning. It's all about estimates.0

did you change your weight too? A higher weight gives a higher calorie burn too.0

no i didnt. i switched to sedentary for lack of weight loss. only thing i can figure is that if you live a life mainly sendntary, then you burn more calories during exercise vs. a lightly active life? lol who knows0
