Hi, I bought myself a fitbit flex because it was on sale but I have yet to take it out of the box and I'm considering taking it back. I already exercise daily (except for right now due to an injury) and I track my exercise and food on MFP. Do I need the fitbit? I have already lost 11 pounds but I have about 30 more to go. I'd just like to know what the actual benefits are. Thank you.

USE THE FITBIT! I was shocked on how much it really takes to reach my 10,000 steps a day. I work as a Dental Assistant and waitress and move all day long, I still have to do 2 miles walk/jog after work to get my 10,000! On lazy days it motivates me to move otherwise the guilt sets in.0

It can motivate you to move more.
It can help you get a better idea of your actual activity level.
It can help you get a better idea of your average TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure).
Do you need it? No.
I the information Fitbit's provide and although I don't need it, it has helped me become more active. I had lost over 40lbs before I ever bought one. It showed me that even though I was working out, I was still lazy the rest of the day.0
