What are some items that you have gotten at Costco that was a great healthy deal? Just curious what to look out for because it was quite overwhelming whenever I first went in.

I just bought my family a card for christmas, that place is crazy! haha0

COSTCO! Oh, how I miss thee.
They have large bags of quinoa which are fantastic (made by truRoots). Hummus & greek yogurt in large tubs (I also love the pre-portioned hummus & greek yogurt containers, but not very environmentally friendly). Big tubs of natural PB or almond butters. I also get the large whole wheat spaghetti box while I am there!0 -
They have a huge bag of sweet kale salad from taylor farms!! And I love the romaine hearts, Brussels sprouts also. Happy shopping!!0

Islandic yogurt, hummus, frozen fish - the mahi mahi, tilapia, and hake are all scrumptious. Squash, Brussel sprouts, fresh or frozen chicken breast, ground turkey, all sorts of salad stuff, protein bars.... That's my typical shopping list. Have fun!!0

The trick is to buy things which you know you will finish before they go bad because if you throw food away it's not usually a good deal.
I'll second the tub of Fage; it's a real bargain. I use it plain like I would sour cream as well as sweetening it and adding berries for breakfast so we usually get through it all before it turns.
The rotisserie chickens are awesome.
They have a great selection of frozen fish. The wahoo (ono) is to die for and we love the tilapia, too. They have both plain and coated and I love the tortilla lime crusted ones.
The salad is cheap. It's the one caveat to the "don't buy more than you can use" rule because the huge bag is cheaper than the tiny ones you get at the grocery store so I'm still saving money if I only get through 3/4 of the bag.
I buy nearly all of my meat there. I package it into meal size servings when I get home and freeze them.
Don't forget, Costco is great for more than just food. Their Kirkland brand is very good quality for everything and I swear by their laundry detergent, toilet paper, dog food, trash bags, etc.0 -
Costco so much!
Protein bars are good deal there.
Produce and frozen fruit and veg
Soda is cheap

I'm pretty excited about the other stuff as well. I can't wait to have endless toilet paper.0 -
Wow, thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm pretty excited about the membership, and it looks like everyone loves getting stuff there. I am definitely going to check out the fish and meat section now.0

Stay clear of the poutine!!0

Hemp hearts and chia seeds (both high in omega 3s) are also a good deal there. Make sure to store them in the fridge for maximum longevity.0

I agree with everyone about the food - they have a wide range of organics and protein bars at prices that are more reasonable than elsewhere. They also have great work out clothes in name brands (Aviva, Champion, etc.) with a price range of $14.00 - $25.00. They often have good picks on fitness DVDs, books and low cal cookbooks. Just try to avoid stopping at all the free sample stations0

Oh and definitely get a hotdog from the food court, can't beat $1.50 with a soda.0
