So I have been doing great working out 5+ days a week and eating healthy, and then friday night I came down with the flu . The last time I got sick and couldn't keep up my routine it took weeks (really months) to get back into it.
What do you do?? I don't have the energy to exercise, it is all that I can do to take care of the kids.

 I've been sick since mid-October on and off with who knows what - so many different stupid symptoms, I wouldn't even try to list them......anyway, take a brief walk - even if it's around the block - if you can make it that far - also, as silly as it sounds, I log my housework (YES there's a listing under exercise - you'll be shocked) when I don't exercise just for the mental lift - that I've actually done something.......finally, try not to stay out of your programs too long - I do this by remembering just how sore I was at the beginning - just take it a lot easier - YOU CAN DO IT!

I have a horrible cold as well and I am trying to stay motivated but when you feel bad you can't. I would love to know how to log my housework I tried but there was nothing that came up.
I hope you feel better soon.:sick:0 -
You eat a lot of chicken noodle soup and sleep.
Your body has to fight off the flu. It has no energy leftover to exercise.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!!:flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks! I have been on the couch for the last three days. I am just hoping that as soon as I get over this I will get back to the workouts again.0

The flu strains have been more and more complex every year. While you may feel better, be kind to your body. Give it as much time as you can muster. Some flus take a week to get over.
If it helps any, I know when I eat badly for a week, I come back and kick butt, losing lots of weight the next week. :flowerforyou: Maybe the flu will give your body a good shock and you'll jump right back into weight loss as soon as you are well. Just dont' rush it, k?0
