I am going to the mall on Wednesday with friends and found out the mall I am going to have one of my favorite burger joints. I am currently 201 and since we plan the occasion have lost 3 pounds. I wanted to get to 200 lbs before the day. I workout with a boot camp 5 times a week for 45 minutes in the morning.
My main question is: Is this okay to be motivation? I have been trying to get to the 200 mark for about 3-4 months. ;_; I want to make this a milestone since I started from 225 lbs. Also if this isn't good motivation, could you list some unconventional ones. The normal ones don't really work for me. And I tried a lot. Thank you.

I don't think it is a fair goal to try and hit a weight target on a particular day. Weight fluctuates five pounds either way anyways from water weight, etc.
If you want to hit a popular burger joint with your friends at the end of the day, how about working towards it by limiting your calories the rest of your day? Then you've "earned" it. You could also pre-enter the meal in to MFP to be aware of what it is really "costing" you.0 -

In the end, I made sure that we walked A LOT! With my fitbit in hand, I still came out under my calorie goal. I was also at 201lbs that day. So I was proud anyway!0 -
I don't believe there is bad motivation. If it motivates you then it's good motivation for you. Whatever keeps you on track is good.0

Re Reward Ideas: Cool headphones, concert tickets, participation in a charity walking event, starting a charm bracelet, a pair of shoes, exercise clothes, work out music, tickets to a sports event, professional head shots, new purse. (*)0

I don't think there is such thing as bad motivation… we are all different. If it works for you… great! The only problem I see is with having such a specific goal for such a specific time… is what if you don't hit it? Then what happens to your motivation? I would suggest making the process your goal… Have a goal to eat healthy and/or to stay under your calorie goal that day. Have a goal to get in a good workout.0

Use any motivation possible, but I agree with everyone else. Why the time limit?0

I don't think using trigger foods as motivation is such a great idea, not to mention, this is a lifestyle.. not a diet. You should be able to eat a burger in moderation whenever you want too as long as you can fit it in your macros and calorie limits.. I would rather have something materalistic. New headphones.. new shirt.. a manicure. But, to each their own.0
