I have been keeping track for a week now and I always go over almost double every day on my protein. But nothing else is in the red. Is too much protein a bad thing?

Looked at your diary, and you are definately OK on protein. Make sure you get enough fiber. MFP values are low on fiber!

as long as you stay within your calories, no... its much better than going over on fat or carbs! If you are seeing you eat fewer carbs and more protein, and your body is doing well with that, you can adjust your goal settings to change the % of fat, protein and carbs. I changed mine to 40 c, 40p, and 20 f, which seems to do well for me since I cut out all white bread, pasta, and white rice, and limit the starches I do eat. More protein can actually be better, to a point... I heard 1 gr per pound of body weight .I also heard if you are eating an insane amount you can get kidney stones, but that has to be a pretty high number, and I don't think thats possible on a restricted calorie diet unless you just sat around and ate meat all day..lol!

I have the same problem...I read up a lil on it awhile ago and I think it's fine unless you're eating meat only all day like a previous comment said. = )

I have only seen the 1g per lb of body weight on here. I disagree. Everything I learned in college you should consume 0.8 to 1.2 g per kg of body weight.
