went to my zumba class this morning, and then to one called step-jump-pump, which is a combination of step aerobics, plyometrics (jump training) and strength training. about 20 minutes in to the the step-jump-pump, i literally started to feel like i was trying to move underwater and i started yawning repetively. i'm assuming that my body was just telling me quite forcibly that i needed a break, so i put up my equipment and came on home.

is anyone familiar with that feeling? is it enough that i stopped the class early or do you think i need another day of rest? i usually do zumba or jogging tomorrow with a pilates class afterwards. maybe i should just do the pilates? what do ya'll think?

I've definitely been there before - there are days when I try to do lengthy workouts and just "bonk." There are times when this just means I didn't have the right food fuel in my body to handle things, and I was fine to get back in the saddle the next day. And, other times when I really did need a day off. I'd stretch tonight, eat lots of healthy food and see how you feel tomorrow.

Happened to me today, once I really got into my workout it was better. But at first I thought for sure I was not going to be able to finish it.

i've been there. your body is just telling you rest. try tomorrow but if it happens again you need a day of rest then.
