Stretch Marks- do they get better?

I'd always been a little overweight, but it wasn't until I put on a stupid amount of weight, that I started getting stretch marks. Having Body Dysmorphic Disorder makes it so much worse.
Im mainly bothered about the ones on my inner thighs. They get deep. The colour isn't too much of an issue, it's the texture (how they're raised up). Im loosing weight, but I have a lot to loose before Im considered a normal weight.

So, my question is, do they really improve over time/after weight loss?

Im applying cocoa butter, bio oil, and exfoliating.

At this point I'd be happy with small silver lines, the texture/scar tissue is bothering me way too much.

Will my skin ever be smooth again?

Stretch marks are scars and like most scars they will fade and lighten and flatten over time. They won't go away, though. Creams can help plump the skin, and exfoliation can temporarily smooth the skin, about as much help as any skincare helps with wrinkles.

Nope, and it makes loose skin worse, at least for me... Sorry to break it on you.

I have tons of stretch marks from 3 pregnancies. The only thing I have found that reduced them noticeably was Arbonne re9 advanced firming body cream. It made a huge difference for me in reducing the thickness of the marks and smoothing out the lumpy surface. And the effects were permanent, they didn't wear off when I discontinued use. I don't sell Arbonne and I don't use their products much, however, that one I have found to be excellent and totally worth the price tag.

The ingredients are more important than the product itself. The top ingredients in that product are found in many, many creams (shea butter, dimethicone, sunflower seed oil, glycerin) and are cheap.

I don't see what could make this cream do anything even remotely permanent.

I use Mederma its a scar gel and works wonders! I had c-section for both my pregnancies and gained horrible stretch marks but after 3 years my c-section scar is gone and stretch marks have almost disappeared, I have more weight to lose till they vanish completely
