Hello :) My name is Katy and I am a distance runner who is looking to get back in shape/back in running form. I have had a difficult few years ...... cancer survivor, gastroparesis survivor, autoimmune diagnosis, celiac diagnosis, three job changes, and some other stressors. I am a former college athlete (soccer) and a marathoner. I used to be extremely disciplined and always went the extra mile. With all these stressors and life challenges, I have lost my discipline and allowed myself to make excuses for my lack of fitness and weight gain. I have been able to maintain my basic level of fitness but I am not happy with my running pace, jeans size, or my general health/wellness. I want to work out every single day and I need to eat paleo to overcome my autoimmune issues. I need some support and buddies to help keep me on track!!!! I will support you in your journey too! Thanks for the buddies who have already added me!

Welcome Katy. Feel free to add me as well. I'm a new runner and aiming for a goal of 6 days a week of exercise to increase my overall fitness level.

I'm just getting started again also. I used to run long distance and would like to get back to that. My husband and I are starting paleo tomorrow, just got done emptying out the cupboards!

I just got a new vivofit for Christmas. :) I'm looking for connections, also. Good luck to you!
  • Thanks for adding me Katy. I was a long distance runner myself, but its been five yrs since my last half marathon. Work stress, commuting four hours a day, and very close cancer call (tumour caught and removed just in time) have recently put life back into perspective for me. Hoping to get motivated to get back on the treadmill til spring weather arrives!
