I recommend brisk walking 30 minutes. Also do you have access to a pool/gym? Swimming is low-impact and great workout because of the resistance. If you are completely new to weight lifting, maybe try Pilates with modifications. I like blogilates on youtube. Cassey has a beginners calendar to help you ease into doing her videos; http://www.blogilates.com/blog/2013/06/03/beginners-calendar-for-popsters-just-starting-out/
Fitness blender is also great http://www.fitnessblender.com/
Hope this helps0 -
Read the forums especially the stickies at the top of each section. They are chock full of information you will see repeated over and over. Lifting4 has linked you one.
In terms of exercise then if you cnat stand the impact of running then try walking (as sugested above), swimming, the eliptical, rower or bike for cardio as they impact your joints less. If you wnat to get fit as opposed to just burning a few more calories then you should consider doing resistance training as well.
You arent in competition with antone except yourself to try and improve. Go at your own pace, but make some effort if you wnat improvements. Evertone starts somewhere and improves over time.
You dont have to, but if you join a gym be aware nobody is overly bothered about you, they are all more interested in getting their own stuff done so theres no need to be self conscious. Consistency is what you want.0
