I joined MFP because my weight has gone a little out of control the last year. I would'nt class my self as obese, however my eating habits are less than satisfactory with eating takeaways 4+ times a week and fizzy being my go to drink.

I was very un well as a teenager and at the bottom of my health in 2012 I only weighed a mere 49KG at 19 height 1.64 cm. I was erged to put on weight by a very caring teacher who was also a very high ranking soldier in the army. However...

After trying for a month to do a "Healthy" weight gain, nothing worked. I turned to Fanta (Fattier than coke, believe it or not) and takeaways. At the time my best friend was depressed so we ate Macca's all the time! At the begging of this year I was a desirable and comfortable 60kg, but began to lose it while on Outward Bound so in an effort to keep it on my first meal back at home was... CARLS JUNIOR!!!!

Now that bad habit is biting me in the bum! I'm trying to get fit enough for my course next year but my unhealthy stomach and what ever those bad foods did to me is hindering me.

As I said, I know I'm not over weight, but if I dont kick this bad habit in the bud, my dream of being an Outdoor Instructor will never come true. here's to no takeaways, and ACTUALLY exercising!!!

    Hey there Sarah,
Welcome to MFP, part of the journey here involves realizing that there are no 'bad' foods, just bad habits. You can easily fit the occasional takeaway into your meal plan every now again again, just everything in moderation. It sounds to me that you have the right attitude and outlook to do really well with your goals!!

I wish you all the very best, put 110% in and you'll get 110% out!

  • Thanks, mate! Occasionaly having takeaways is great! Not the amount I am at present. Never used to eat this much takeaways. And quite right about no "Bad foods" I was kinda meaning all the crap they put into maccas. Preservitves and all that... :-)
