    As a word of advice, just take this list with a grain of salt. I've seen these foods with different GI numbers in other lists that I've Googled. Just compare the numbers and look for other lists as well. It's a good enough starter list though.

    This is true, the index is a bunch of doo doo and means nothing for weight loss.

    Yep. This recent NY Times article discusses the research, with responses from a couple of critics.
