Hello, my name is Nallery Licardie and I currently weigh 299lbs. I have a LOT to lose. I'm hoping that with the right help I am able to reach my goals and keep them off. I would like to lose a minimum of 150lbs. This means I would be losing half of myself but definitely gaining so much more. I've struggled with losing weight due to a lack of discipline and motivation. I'm hoping that this New Year 2015 brings so much out of me. My husband and I are finally taking our long needed honeymoon away from our two kids to Las Vegas in August so I'm hoping to have lost some weight by then. My motivation is the zip line in Vegas. I heard that it's fun and I'm obviously scared of getting on it given my weight. What's your motivation for this coming year? How do you plan on making the change?

We can do this. I say "we" because when I read your post, you sound so much like me. I started at about 290 and I've spent 2014 gaining and losing the same 12 pounds. I also need to lose over 150lbs. I need to make 2015 (starting now and not waiting for the official new year) the year where I actually make real changes. Two of my greatest missteps are being so all or nothing with my weight loss on a day-to-day basis and setting big, lofty goals that are totally unachievable. I know better, and I know what's realistic for me, yet I fall into the same patterns. Taking this whole thing one day at a time, one decision at a time will be key for me. If I can do that, then it'll help me get everything else into place.

I want to lose a minimum of 107 pounds. I always start out with a lot of determination, but after a month or so, I get discouraged. Just starting MFP today and hope to find friends who will provide insight and tips to help me along the way. My doctor said to take it slow....one day at a time, one pound at a time. Thus my profile picture for now.

I know the stuggle! My goal was 100 pounds. I was down 60 then gained back 20. I need to get back on the losing track. Lets do it together! I'm feeling super motivated today lol. Add me on the app!

I added all of you. Please confirm. I think that if we come here for motivation it'll help. Also, stating something you're proud of per day. That'll provide more motivation from your team members.

So far, I've had a Boost Shake from Walgreens, a Banana, and an Orange. It's healthy for me compared to what I've eaten days prior.
