Hi,
I am Allistar.
I am 5'7 and weigh 167 pounds.
My goal is to get back down to 145 pounds.
What would be a good 1400 calorie diet?
I burned today 535 calories today.
Will that be good with a 1400 calorie diet to lose weight?
I appreciate the help.

Why 1,400? Set your goal to .5 lb. per week: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided

Learn to log everything you eat & drink accurately & honestly. Log your exercise, and eat back your exercise calories for several weeks. Then reevaluate your progress.
  • I started eating 1500 calories a day and started gaining weight.

Do you weigh and measure everything you eat? If not, you really don't know how many calories a day you're eating...
  • I do.

If you learn to log everything you eat and drink accurately & honestly, you will lose weight.

Ditch the measuring cups and get a kitchen scale. They're only $12 or so, but they will change your life. Proper tools make any job easier.
  • I have one of those.

According to your diary, you didn't weigh any of the following today:
    eggs
    hummus
    black-eyed peas
    cream cheese
    pudding
    olive oil
    cereal
    almond milk

You have no idea how many calories you're actually eating. You asked how to lose weight, and the answer is log everything you eat accurately & honestly. Weigh everything. Logging is simple, but it ain't easy. Logging works.
