Hi, my name is Courtney, and I've been on MFP since January. I've managed to slowly lose 14 pounds since then, but my motivation is waning. I had a lot of slip-ups initially, and so most of my weight loss has been more recently when I began counting carbohydrates in addition to calories. Even though I'm experiencing mild success, I feel like I would do a lot better with some additional support. Sometimes I feel like it doesn't matter if I cheat because I don't feel accountable, and I know that's a dangerous path to go down. Sooo, if anyone wants to add me as a friend so we can keep each other motivated, it would be great!

    Hi my name is Sheryl,

I have been working at it now for 2.5 weeks and has lost 6 lbs. My weight goal is 155! Be encouraged and make it a lifestyle change. The beauty of any program is it's hard work to get where you want to be but as you learn the basic principles of how the body operates, it's easier to maintain. Don't sweat it, just do it for yourself and allow your self to be accountable to your personal goals.

There are going to be times where you feel down and don't want to continue on, but just try to push through them. Try to stay positive!
I have struggled lately, but I am not going to give up!

I find that just by logging in my food everyday makes me accountable. If I know I have to add something on my log that is bad it really makes me think twice about eating it.

And, not only do I get personal satisfaction after a good workout but I find that it is such a plus when I can come home from the gym and log in my workout.

Keep it up and start logging everything.

Everyone of us hits plateaus. What's stopped us in the past was not pushing on. One step back can lead to two steps forward. Good luck to you! You're welcome to add me for support if you like.
