Getting the Polar FT40 for Mother's Day :)

I've been wanting a heart rate monitor for a while, and have been doing lots of research. Last night I was about to bite the bullet and order it for myself - and then I realized that I could probably request it as a gift from my parents for Mother's Day! They're super-supportive of my efforts to get healthy, so they thought it was a great idea. Score!
I'm very excited. I've been so rigid about recording quantity and quality of calories consumed, but I know that I'm not getting all the information if I don't have a clear grasp of quantity and quality of calories burned.
Can't wait for it to arrive!

I just got the FT4 for an early Mothers Day gift. I have used it twice now and am still trying to figure it all out. I realized though yesterday on my normal 60 min walk that my heart rate is not in the zone as much as it should be (below) so I guess I need to find a bit more hilly terrain to walk. Good luck with your journey and hope you enjoy your gift. Happy Mother's Day!!0
