Craving something sweet

I'm really craving some junk food right now, anything! Chocolate, a biscuit, etc. Just wondering what would be the best 'treats' that are not too bad yet will stop my craving?

i like caramel rice cakes, they are sweet and crunchy! maybe a banana with peanut butter, or some other kind of fruit!?

It's probably a lot less healthy than I let myself believe it is, but I keep Sunbelt fudge dipped granola bars and sweet and salty peanut and chocolate bars around for just such occasions. They have a lot of sugar, but they're better than a candy bar or butter laden <fill in the blank> any day... I think. lol As I said-I probably trick myself into thinking this.

Sometimes, a PBJ on light whole grain bread does the trick too! :)

Skinny Cow Ice Cream Bars! They are good and only 100 calories. Also, Jello Sugar Free Pudding. It tastes the same as regular pudding. Only 60 calories.

Chocolate protein bars are my way of getting something sweet in without feeling too bad about it.

I love the hundred calorie packs. I don't have to worry about rationing myself because it's already done for me and there's plenty of chocolate to make you feel like you've really had a treat and aren't denying yourself.

I'd say fruit, as well. I have a problem stopping at just a little bit of junk food so I abstain. Peanut butter or 2% yogurt might help it feel more substantial.

Cut up a banana and add some fat free whip cream/cool whip for a refreshing treat!

I start with the Extra Dessert Delight gum - key lime pie is my favorite - and that works a lot of the time. If that doesn't work I figure out exactly what the craving is for and just go for it in a small manner. For example - if I am craving an oatmeal cookie I go to a bakery/store and buy one small oatmeal cookie. I find that this ends up being the better option than having an orange and - nope that doesn't do it, then a granola bar and - nope that doesn't do it either. So, instead of having the calories from the apple, granola bar and oatmeal cookie I just go straight to the oatmeal cookie. Now, if you sweet cravings are an ongong thing that means that there is an inbalance going on (found out for me it was hormonal) and may be a good idea to go see the doc.

Thank you so much for your help everyone. I think I'll try half a banana with chocote spread. Hopefully that will do it!

    Goodluck to everyone else :)
