Hey y'all, I was wondering if anyone had any workout ideas for someone who is just starting out. I have asthma and a heart condition so I don't want to over exert myself, but I want to workout and lose weight. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

Walking and bodyweight exercise, pushups (on knees if necessary), squats, etc. A small set of dumbbells (3 to 5 pounds). Only after consulting with a doctor. We don't want to take your heart or asthma for granted!!! Good luck!!!0

Walking is soooo good, if it is cold for you to walk outside, try walking with Leslie Sansone at home, there are videos on you tube. I also think the water aerobics would be a good fun option. Good luck to you.0

The heart condition means you should consult your Dr and let him/her know what you are doing.
Exercise will have a lot of benefits for you as well as supporting weight loss, but you need to be careful to avoid overdoing hence walking etc you can build up gradually. The link below is worth reading as it answers all your questions of what and how. You might want to get a HRM as well, but really you need to listen to your body and exercise safely.
