I am a sweet junkie and for anyone that doesn't know Chromium picolinate is excellent for cutting your sugar craving. It is cheap to buy from Walmart or wherever, and if you take one everyday like a vitamin after a good week you will notice your cravings almost gone. Just a little tip. :glasses:

Found this at http://www.vanderbilt.edu/ans/psychology/health_psychology/chromiumpicolinate.htm
"Despite rampant claims that chromium picolinate is a weight loss miracle that will melt fat, improve metabolism, and increase muscle mass, scientific evidence overwhelmingly indicates that the supplement does nothing of the kind. When combined with exercise, chromium supplementation does nothing to enhance weight loss as compared to exercise alone, in study after study. The case of chromium picolinate should caution consumers against believing miracle weight loss claims. When advertised on the internet, chromium picolinate is presented as a reliable, safe, and fast way to reduce body fat: actual evidence presents a very different picture of this supplement. Taking a daily dose of chromium picolinate will not likely produce any drastic results, and certainly will not produce effects that could not be achieved with exercise alone. Consumers should always be wary of dietary supplements touted as miracles, and investigate the truth behind flashy claims before deciding to take any nutritional aid."
I would love it though if it hellped me fight the cravings. Those are not fun.0 -
It is probably unlikely that taking this supplement will instantly help you drop pounds... I think we all realize this, if it worked, everyone would be thin, right??
I know there has been some research on chromium and insulin sensitivity, I think the studies are still inconclusive. If your body is responding better to insulin, your blood sugars should be in a healthier range, and perhaps having less high and low blood sugar swings. When your blood sugars go down (whether or not you have diabetes, all of our blood sugars fluctuate with food, exercise...) you will begin to feel hungry, and begin craving sweets. SO, maybe taking it really does help you with cravings. And even if it is mind over matter, it sounds like it is helping you!0
