i have lost 22.5 kilos in six months, i had a bad fall and smashed my elbow, which stoped me in my tracks, i am still doing physio, i had been scared to get back into walking again untill recently, i use a stick for confidence..lol and my hubby comes with me for surport.. untill recently i had been watching what i eat ect due to being dionosed with type 2 diabettes, so the weight loss has been slow.. i would like some pointers on low inpack exercises, due to a fused ankle and a hernia plus i am unfit..lol.
cheers and thanks

Swimming & biking are great low-impact exercise.

Look on youtube for seated exercise routines. There are a lot on there. There are also lots of tai chi videos that will get you started on those which are especially good for balance.
  • At this stage a bike i can not do, due to my arm. but i am planning on getting a bike, was going to get one when i had the fall, swimming not so much for me can only dog paddle..lol, however i am trying to find some water aerobics in this small town, but thus far not successful, but i like the sitting down exercise idea, i will check that out thanks,

you can do a static bike or a peddle machine, a lot of them you dont need your arms for just sit and peddle

Take off those pink glasses...low impact, AND an immediate kilo lost. Bonus!

Aqua fitness is great for someone in rehab. If you can't find a class, there are videos on YouTube that give you ideas for what to do. Also Zumba Gold instructors often offer Zumba seated in a chair for participants who are mobilly impaired.

What about pool running / aquajogging? Zero impact, you can go as hard or easy as you want to, and it's easier to do without a formal class than formal "aquacize." Strap on a flotation belt and go!

The downside is that it's pretty boring. If you can recruit a friend, it helps a TON.
  • Cool advice people will check them out.. the pink glasses have gone... was an 80s party...

Dog paddling is an awesome exercise - you are moving everything constantly!!! Paddle on!!!
  • Really never thought of that.. cool...
  • As in it being good to do

Have you tried an elliptical machine? It might be a little too much for your elbow right now, but in the future it could be great for a bad ankle.
  • what is an eliptical machine??
  • all good, i googled//lol
