Are you discouraged if you have plateaued, even though, you continue to loose inches? I kinda feel that way, I know its a bit weird!

Been there. Took a short break and got a break through.
Guess my body was protesting and needed some rest.0 -
I would love to lose inches I rather be thinner than lighter0

I was more frustrated than anything. Slightly discouraged. But I pushed through and varied up the routine (including INCREASING my calorie intake), and that helped. Took a while... but now I'm steadily losing 1lb a week again.
Good luck! Stay positive!0 -
Same here, for two weeks now, not losing faith, as can see difference in body, but it sure makes me want to say sod it for a time and eat and eat! lol:, but I'm bigger than that! hahah!!!!0

To be honest if I was seeing inches drop I'd be ecstatic lol. But I do know what you mean! The plateau can be devastating for morale and motivation, but working through it feels SO incredible when you pass it.
I'm rooting for ya Mummum2!!!!0 -
I've been on Plateau for 2 weeks now, but I am noticing the inches falling off, but I would love for the weight to go down too! UGH! But I will keep exercising!0

I've been at my current weight since September (well, except for a slight gain while on pain medications). I wanted to lose another 10lbs, but I just couldn't seem to figure out what my body wanted in order to drop those last 10lbs. I dropped calories, upp'ed exercise, upp'ed calories and upp'ed exercise, upp'ed calories and dropped exercise. I tried switching up my exercise routine, switching up my diet, etc. I am baffled as to why my body won't drop anymore weight.
So. I stopped worrying about it. Yes, I still eat healthy. I still go to the gym and workout. But, I've just stopped obsessing over the scale because it was causing me too much stress.
In the past, something that has worked for me was actually taking a week off from the gym. I would still watch what I was eating, but I would take a full week off. Usually when I went back I would have dropped a few pounds and it would get my body going again.
Perhaps that is what your body needs? A break?0 -
I increased my calorie intake too by zig-zagging calories - it worked, and I am back on it now0

I know it can be frustrating when the scale doesn't move...in fact, I think that is a big part of the reason I've not been succesful in the past. However, now I'm viewing things completely differently. To me it's not about what the scale says anymore...it's about how I feel and what I can accomplish. I find that goals other than reaching a specific weight are more helpful in keeping me in track (and in the long run losing more weight/fat). Just stay positive and remember to celebrate ALL of your non-scale victories!0

Thank you very much! :flowerforyou:0 -
I was there for 3 weeks....I looked at pictures and you can REALLY tell a difference even though the scale hasn't moved. Look through some throwbacks...you should be able to notice some slight changes :-) Good luck and keep up the good work....0

Yea! I'm going to push through but I had a weak moment and had a heart to heart with about 8 chewy chip ahoy cookies... SMH! I'm so ashamed!
I'm over it now.0
