Hello, new to this site. It almost seems impossible to shed 5 or 10 lbs. after 50. I count calories, exercise, drink lots of h20..yet, the weight doesn't budge. I've almost resigned myself to carrying those extra pounds but I don't want the scale to keep creeping up. Any and all advice from those who are beating this challenge would be greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year!

Welcome, don't give up! I'm Steve and I am down 125 in a little under a year.
  • I've found the adding weights has really changed my workouts. Treat yourself to some trainer sessions and learn to lift safely. New Rules on Lifting for women is great book. You will feel empowered and burn more calories in less time.

What type of workouts are you doing? Do they involve weights AND cardio? U need to make sure that the fiids you eat are low in fat too. And never skip breakfast!

Hi, I'm new to the site as well. I just turned 50 and need to get back in shape so I can keep up with my grandson.
The more friends the more motivation and hopefully the better I will be at sticking to it
