Brazil Butt Lift - How Do I Log these workouts

Hi guys! I just started the BeachBody Brazil Butt Lift DVD program and I do not know how to classify the workouts under exercise. When I did INSANITY I logged it under "Calisthenics - Vigorous effort". I was wondering if there is anyone that is currently doing Brazil Butt Lift or if you would know what category to place this under to log calories burned.

Times like this I wish I had a heart rate monitor to get an even more accurate count of calories burned. Thanks!

I'd probably just put it under aerobics, but I haven't done the workout. Is it good?

It's not bad but it's no Insanity lol! I would probably do Aerobics as well but then make sure you adjust the calories that MFP estimates.

ETA: I pretty much log everything as either 'Aerobics' if no weights are involved, or 'Circuit Training' if weights are involved. Then just use the Exercise Note to log the details. In all honesty, it doesn't matter what you use because the default MFP calories will be wrong.
  • Well this thing crashes everytime I try to add a friend... So please add me. I'm located in long beach, Ca 37y/o single female 5'5" tall and 140Ish pounds. I'd like to lose about 15 pounds by spring...say March 21st? I like my shape but would like to be more toned/fit. I plan to start Brazil butt lift on Monday. I think my biggest challenge will be eating right... As I love food. But I also have pre existing health conditions which kind of keep me from pushing myself when I exercise :( any support is appreciated

Hi, I just found this helpful blog: http://fullyengagedmom.com/how-many-calories-do-you-burn-with-brazil-butt-lift. I log my workouts as aerobics but add the workouts manually to make sure the calorie burn is similar to this woman's. It works for me because we are about the same weight & size. I wish I had a heart rate monitor so I could calculate my actual calorie burn but this is a general idea for my logging. If Monday is your start date, I would recommend doing a quick run-through of the basics DVD a few times before then (you'll have to alternate sides on your own) to make sure you've got the form down before getting in your first full work out. I also recommend having enough time for some extra, deep stretches afterward, cuz - um, ouch!

I know I'm late answering but I have my calories burned for each of these workouts if any one is interested. I did this workout before and got my exact calories burned for each one using my Bodymedia fitness armband. I got great results after doing this 60 days.
