HRM calories for PiYo

I got a Polar FT4. Right now I am doing the PiYo workout program and I was logging it yoga or pilates before which was giving me around 100 calories. Today I wore my new HRM and it showed it burnt 225 calories. But I have also heard HRMs overestimate calories burnt for strength training exercises and since PiYo is more strength based I am unsure which one to log?

The HRM is wrong. It is not designed nor programmed to accurately estimate caloric burn outside of a narrow range of activities ... all of them steady state cardio.

    I would use the HRM.

You could, but it won't be accurate. HRMs are not designed for such a thing.

Throw a couple of D10s, it'll be about as accurate...
