Well it's my booty... me and my booty to be exact, but both entities all the same.

Born with a bit more junk in my trunk. Last year I was super on top of things, down 30lb(in just about 4 months) and walking daily, logging food ect... then vacation happened. I work Graveyard (dispatcher) and the nearly daily work load was good for a couple things - consistency of logging and consistency of budgeting my food allotment through my shift/day/sleep. Days off going from nights to days I am way out of whack, sometimes I stay up for 30 hrs, other times I go home and sleep for 16hrs and then go about my weekend. I averaged about 450+ hours of overtime last year. Needless to say things are great when i have a schedule and am on track.

So fast forward from April to Today... yes.. January... the letmegetmyshitetogether time of year and focus on what needs fixing. Reasses, regroup, reevaluate = time to get back to basics. I know the way to do it, the function, dedication, the determination and sacrifice (having one slice and not the whole pizza). That is where I am refocusing. Getting to what I know works.

For me I am dropping the Booze, the processed carbs, and all the other crap in my diet {Including that Freaky Fast Friend of mine Jimmy}. Working out 5x's a week - at least, even if only for 20 min and stop hitting the snooze button!! I have done it before, it is attainable and sustainable.

Who is coming with me this time on my journey???

Sounds like a plan! I have my workout in check just need to cut the Red Wine out! Who is Jimmy?
  • Hi! Feel free to add me as a friend. I too am back for another round of MFP. I have 30 lbs to lose by July (after gaining 15 in the last 6 months- UGH!). I can totally relate to the winter/ spring body redo. This has been my pattern for the past few years but this year I seemed to exceed my usual annual summer/fall weight gain. Anyway, I too could use the support of others to stay accountable.

Jimmy... from Jimmy Johns sub sandwiches... man they are delicious. I love me some Red Vino - good for your heart right?? I can totally rationalize that.

At least we are back and have a head in the game right?? that is part of the battle. Be conscious and present... just logging in helps
