There is a basketball court at my gym and I plan to start using it. I could run around and make shots. I find I work harder and enjoy a program with scheduled excersise. Anyone know where to find a good basketball cardio program, app, or do you have one. This isn't for me to be a better basketball player I just want to get my heart rate up and sweat. Trying to mix it up.

I would get any of a number of interval timers that allow you to put in multiple steps (A HIIT Interval Timer, for example). Then just program in the stuff you want: 3-point, jump shot, low dribble, suicides, whatever.

Run suicides. Baseline to free throw to baseline to three point line to baseline to halfcourt to baseline to full court to baseline. That will kick your *ss. Also practice driving to the basket from the three point arch and go up strong to the rim. The quick sprint+high jumping done over and over can really get your heart going.

Nothing beats playing in games though. See if you can get a pickup game going.

Awsome thanks I'm going to incorporate all of those and figure out some intervals and times for the best work out. Unfortunately a pick up game won't happen. Becouse I'm the only one in the gym area normally when I can go. Who knows maybe someone might see me messing around and want to start a game.
