Dear all,
first of all may I wish everyone the best for 2015!
my first goal for this year is to make time for my friends who were there with me last year ... as they made it possible that I am still here this year!
I was diagnosed with cancer in October 2013, did the full treatment of chemo, surgery and radio therapy, and now I hope I am ready to lose the weight I gained from comfort eating, be more active as the chemo took all my condition away (and I do mean all as I was not even able to walk anymore) and be in myself more healthy! I cannot work in pounds, but I would love to lose 20 kgs. I do not put an end time on it as I do not know how fast I get myself in shape, I still have 'bad' days.
I have lost so much last year that I am willing to gain it all back, i.e. some friends, respect and self esteem. But at the forefront I want to be happy with myself again! And share my positiveness with everyone who wants to share it!
My thought of the day: in doing too much, one of the essential aspects of being human that gets lost in the shuffle is self-refection.
Why do I mention this? I do have the tendency to 'over'do it and need to allow that even if my mind is willing, the body cannot always follow!
Take care,

Hi there, I was diagnosed with Cancer in July 2014 and have just finished 6 months of Chemo.
So much of your post made me nod in agreement - I could not believe how debilitating Chemo was and how much weight I gained! I am back on MFP (Was previously a member and successfully lost loads of weight) to try to find balance in my diet and to feel more positive about my body...
I will send you a friend request, if that is OK, so we can motivate each other (And vent if necessary!)0
