I'm torn between the two, can't decide which one. I've heard alot of good feedback from both. I have 6 months until my wedding do need to lose weight very quick. I've lost 30 lbs before my pregnancy by using my fitness pal and daily exercise (weights and HIIT) but still took my over 6 months. I need something to stick to now. That gets me out of the house, worth the baby at home now its easy to put exercise off and healthy eating. So any success stories on both will be much appreciated,, thanks

How about neither, and using MFP to lose weight in a healthy way?0

Eat at a caloric deficit and put that baby in the stroller and move.0

Like I mentioned I have done this before, and lost weight bit took a long time. My wedding is in six months so need to do something that keeps me motivated out of the house.

I'm sorry to hear that. So you start with the deficit. You've got this and you don't need some gimmick to get you there.0 -

I'm going to push hard. I did want to know success stories with both though out of curiosity. I've heard so much good feedback with slimming world from friends and friends of friends.0 -
Don't bother with those kind of plans. Look into Flexible Dieting, and do heavy lifting, with some HIIT.0

Slimming world does not teach you to portion your food appropriately and so after your wedding, when you fall it off it, the chances are high that you will crash, burn and put on even more weight ...I did
Never heard of Juice plus ...but seriously sounds like another fad/gimmick
You can do this by eating at a calorie defecit
Also with a baby walking lots is easy and great, join a stroller exercise group if you have them in your area or any kind of exercise with baby group
Gimmicks won't make you lose quicker, commitment will though ...but if you want to join a group then go for it ...whatever you want to do that you'll stick to for life0 -
You have a baby so it is extra important that you eat a healthy diet. Doing unhealthy things like relying on super-low-calorie juicing products, etc., will only make you miserable for the wedding and the weeks leading up to it. And, since you will be unhealthy, you will look like hell, too. Losing 5 or 10 more pounds won't make up for a lousy complexion and an overall grey cast to your face.
Sorry to be so harsh, but if you want to LOOK GREAT for your wedding, you know how to do it and rapid, unhealthy weight loss won't get you what you want.0 -
Juice plus is pills, not juice right?0

I did Juice Plus and i lost £££. It didnt shift my weight or measurements0

I'm not doing either, but I just wanted to say your baby is adorable!0

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Your baby is absolutely adorable too.
Fad diets generally work for the short term. You'll lose weight fast because of super low calories, but you won't create eating habits that will sustain you in the long term. I suggest setting yourself up in MFP and just eat at a calorie deficit. When the little one is feeling better, take him for walks in the stroller.
I see you've lost 11 pounds and want to lose a total of 70 (which leaves 59 left to lose). That's not a lot, but if you lose it too fast it may be harder to keep off.
Whatever your decision, I wish you the best of luck.0 -
Since you have about 50lbs until your goal (according to your profile, you want to hit by July), that's about 10lbs a month, which may not be attainable especially close to your goal weight. You can start with 1.5lb/week loss set on here. Once you hit 40lbs left to lose, drop down to 1lb/week. Once you hit 25lbs left to lose, you're going to want to stick to 1lb a week (recommended if you want to try to finish up before the wedding), or go down to 5lbs a week. Once you are within 15lbs of your goal, you want to do .5lb/week.
Given that you probably have a dress as well, you need to factor in being able to fit into your dress, and fitting in any alterations and accounting for the time frame for that as well. You don't want to be losing up until the day before, because then you may not fit into the dress! Close to the wedding and after the dress is altered, you're going to want to focus on maintaining as best as you can.
I would focus on your baby first, on a calorie deficit, and getting in any exercise you can. Even something as simple as taking the baby for a walk with you can help you fit exercise in during the day, or walking around the house with the baby swaddled up against you. Juice Plus and Slimming World are both things that are going to drain your wallet without guaranteed results.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I'm glad I've had a lot of response and it's great to hear what everyone has to say. Like I said before the baby I lost 30lbs and to be fair would be happy to get back to that for my wedding, as a more real goal that's sustainable.
Thank you my little boy is six months old now and very cheeky. But a little diamond and treasure.0 -

30lbs is definitely a more reasonable goal; in about four months with some accurate calorie counting and exercising, I definitely think that 20-30lbs of loss can be attainable! Do you have a food scale on hand? That will help you get calorie counts very accurate.0 -

30 pounds is more reasonable. Good luck!

I would choose SW out of the two, but with reservations. You need to be careful with the free food, and limit the portion size. I love the recipes for savoury foods but some of the desserts are weird and overly reliant on sweeteners
I must admit there are some fantastic losses, but I found I struggled to lose more than a few pounds.0 -
I didn't lose anything on sw - really stuck to the diet, but just have a big appetite. I did much better on weight watchers, but could only sustain for 2 years and now struggling to lose with restrictive diets.
Good luck0 -
Look into online workouts or DVDs for when baby is sick. I have done some Jillian Michaels and some others online on days I can't go to a gym. I still feel very worked out. It is hard with little kids sometimes- it is hard to have the energy when up all night!0

My friend has recently done Juice Plus and lost 3 stone. I did it and couldn't cope, it's way too restrictive! I've done Weight Watchers and loved it (lost 2 and a half stone) and did Slimming World about 10 years ago and lost 3 stone. They all work if yout stick to it but with WW and SW you can still have a life and eat "normal" food.0

I am trying the juice plus x0

my friend had success with slimming world but when she stopped the weight came back. since you know mfp works, i say stick with it. good luck.0

Ive been doing Juice Plus since around May and have lost 2 and a half stone. For me, it helped to change the way I look at food, rather than lose weight really fast. It is probably really easy to do the same thing without the shakes tbh, but it was a motivational tool for me. After a couple of months I stopped being so restrictive with clean foods, and started eating balanced meals and recording on here, so that I was eating at a deficit. Ive tried weight watchers and got bored really quickly.0

So for those who have tried Juice Plus, can you give me some insight into how you used the program? I just signed up to start with the 3 types of capsules daily. I was going to start with that and continue my food tracking and exercise (for which I use MFP). Perhaps if I hit a plateau in my 70 pound loss journey, I was going to add one or two shakes a day. I'm not really sure if the "cleansing" routine is for me, as dairy is on my list of favorite food. Any insights into how you adapted the program for your success will be appreciated!0

If you stop losing, you're eating too much. Lower your calories slightly, and make sure you are weighing your food to track your intake properly. It's unnecessary to replace meals with shakes to lose weight.

I went for the juice plus, my friend gave me some. I'm doing the two shakes a day, two snacks and a healthy dinner. Started Monday. Any one else want to share what they are eating along with their shakes?0
