Confidence

So I have recently lost some weight and I know by the scale and my clothes I've lost but my head just cant get it. It's crazy because a lady I work with told me she weighs 200lbs. I now weigh 183 and when I look at her I think I am way bigger then her. How do you ever quit seeing yourself as big when you were big for so long. At what point if ever do you start to really see yourself as others do or will I always feel like the 300lb woman in the room. Any suggestions on gaining confidence after weightloss?

I lost 49 pounds and it takes time to accept the change in the mirror....
It will start to get easier, as people notice the changes, and you have to buy smaller clothes.... But there are still days I look in the mirror and see the old me....0 -
I have lost 125 lbs went from a 26 to 14 I know the change is there and people tell me its just my silly head that cant get it.0

WOW !! That is an awesome change for you ! You must feel fabulous !
Treat yourself to something special, new clothes, hairstyle, massage - whatever it takes to make you feel as good as you must look now!
- don't worry that "feeling" will come eventually - if you have been looking at that heavier person in the mirror for a long time, it will take awhile to accept the new person in the mirror0 -
Yes for all of my adult life. I cut my hair and bought all new clothes. Ive considered counseling because I think maybe there is more mental to it then I realize.0

You look fabulous!
It takes time, and more of that than you would expect (especially if you tend to be a very logical person and are thrown off by the illogical feelings.) Like lborsato1 I still don't always see the thin me either when I look in the mirror all of the time. It has gotten better but I'm not totally there yet.0 -
Thanks Ladies sounds like it just takes time.0

I still see the fat me sometimes. I'm getting better. Every once in a while I look in the mirror and say to myself "wow, I'm not fat anymore." I'm still learning to like me.
I love the things I can do. Way more active and get to have more fun being a participant instead of a watcher.
This year I got up and danced at the company Christmas Party. I would never of done that at 234lbs.0
