spaghetti squash Recipe
I just joined MFP and I wanted to share one of my favorite healthy meals I like to make
Spaghetti Squash - About 42 Calories per Cup (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2655/2)
1 whole Spaghetti Squash
1 TBPS olive oil
1 sharp knife
1 fork
1 large baking pan
2 pot holders
1 oven
Spices are optional
***Preheat oven to 400 degree F***
1. Cut the squash in half long ways.
2. Scoop out all of the seeds/string part in both halves(great for compost!)
3. Lightly spread the olive oil over both halves (you can use more/less to your preference)
4. Place the squash face down (with the hard skin up)
5. Bake for 45 MINS
6. Let cool for 10 MINS outside of the oven
7. With your fork gently scrape out the stringy part and place into a bowl or eat right out of the husk!
You may need to bake longer depending on your oven: in order to see if it is ready poke the skin with a knife.
***If soft it is ready***
Add different spices and mix it up!
You can pair with different sauces, veggies, asparagus, etc.
Hope this helped! Feel free to ask for clarification!

Yes, once the squash is cooled down, use a fork and gently scape the strings out.0 -
