I lost over 25kg (55 pounds) following a low carb diet but I've fallen off the diet wagon pretty hard, gaining back almost all the weight I lost over 2 years and I'm looking for a new path to take....
Has anybody tried the CSIRO Well Being Diet? their latest promotion seems interesting...

I was part of the study group for the re-release of that diet back in 2007. It worked (as in I lost weight while I was on it), was full of fresh food and I didn't go hungry, but it pigeon-holed foods and made it difficult to eat out or to be particularly flexible. As a study participant, I had to be extra vigilent and basically couldn't eat out for 12 week. Made life tough, as I was a uni student.
They checked our bloods and vitals every 4 weeks and my cholesterol improved and I certainly lost weight, but I find calorie counting more sustainable and flexible.
After the study, I stopped doing the 'diet' and regained.0 -
There are a lot of these diet plans online, for free. Perhaps do not look at it as a diet but lifestyle?0

Yeah, I just opened the webpage and wow - expensive. Back in my day (heh, old!), you just bought the book.0 -
I've never tried a diet. I just eat foods that I want to eat within my caloric and macro (i.e. protein) needs based on the current weight management goal.0

the $149 price tag does seem steep for a set of recipies and guidelines but the "fully refundable" part interests me... would be like a monetary incentive... "i better lose weight or i'll lose the money" type thing.0

Are you totally clueless as to what to eat, or is paying really a good incentive for you? In that case, go for it. If not, just enter what you eat into the food diary. There are recipes and food/nutrition sections in here, and more to find on the 'nets. You can always ask for help on specifics, if need be.0

Honestly, the only thing that has worked for me is figuring out my TDEE, having a reasonable deficit (15%) & learning how to eat what I plan to eat for life (aka everything) within my calorie goals. I had no problems keeping at maintenance for four months and now I'm doing a minor cut (and yes, still eating the same foods that I did in maintenance, just in smaller quantities/a bit less drinking alcohol). Once I'm done with this cut (10 weeks), I'll go back to maintenance and, again, have no problems with doing it.
I've tried 'diets' and they always end up biting me in a tushy when I go off of them. If you just do it the MFP or TDEE way, with a small deficit (as you don't have a lot to lose), then you'll have it figured out for life (potentially).0
