Anybody up for a get to know you game? You just list 10 things about yourself...
1. I graduated from clown school in 1993
2. I was a special ed. teacher for 12 yrs...gave it up to be a stay at home Mom
3. I love cross country hiking and mountain climbing
4. I have an Alapaha Blueblooded Bulldog that wholeheartedly believes she is one of my children
5. I donate blood and platelets regularly to the Red Cross.
6. I love to do craft projects and make homemade gifts from the heart.
7. I do cake decorating as a hobby and have been compared to "Ace of cakes"
8. I love to read...just never have the time.
9. I am involved with a charity that raises money to send care packages to Troops on deployment
10. I'm an eternal optimist....

    1. I am an RN who worked in Geriatrics for 15 years, then changed over to Pediatrics for the last 5 years
    2. I have been with my husband for 25 years as of yesterday
    3. I have 4 kids - 3 of which are in college
    4. I am the 1st person in my family to have graduated high school (then went to college)
    5. I love listening to music - all genre, own tons of CD's
    6. I read everyday, everything and own as many books as a small library
    7. I saved enough in my piggy banks to take all of my children to Disney for a week
    8. I have thrown 41 different birthday parties and have never duplicated the theme (10 for each of my children and a surprise party for my best friend's 50th)
    9. I absolutely love the M&M characters Orange is my favorite, the Minions come in a close second
    10. was a Mother by the age of 17 and never let that stop Me from going after my dreams

    That's a little bit about me and my crazy life! I am a Happy person who cherishes life and loves all peoples and am so very Thankful for every single one the Blessings that God has gifted to me! :)

    1. People think I am an extrovert...but I know I am faking it
    2. I have three sons and sometimes wonder whether the two miscarriages I had would have been girls
    3. I was in an improvisational comedy group in college and worked on a sketch comedy tv show
    4. I used to follow thoroughbred horse racing obsessively...between the ages of 11-15...I also used to go to the Belmont Stakes every year...starting in 1973 when Secretariat won (by 31 lengths)
    5. I cannot sleep sitting up, in a car or on a plane...but lay me down flat and I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow (like one of those dolls whose eyes close when you put them down and open when you stand them up)
    6. I have a recurring dream about my youngest son falling of a pier or levee. Any time we are walking near water I grip him as tightly as I can.
    7. My only regret about losing weight is no longer being able to donate blood
    8. I always thing it is strange when people comment in the forums on my confidence. If I were truly confident, why would I constantly be seeking affirmation from others in the forums?
    9. I am Facebook friends with my four most serious boyfriends prior to my husband (and a few other guys I fooled around with in college)...including the man I lost my virginity to.
    10. I have a much easier time opening up to virtual strangers than to my real life friends.

    3. I played college football...damn injury cut that short.
    4. I've been single since 1999.
    5. I'm introverted; terribly introverted.

    8. Cooking, singing and reading are some of my favorite hobbies.
    9. I haven't been on a date in 9 years...I haven't asked anyone, that's why.
    10. I'm a golf coach.

    2. My GPA in said degree is a 4.0
    3. I have showered in the Jets locker room (clarification - they were NOT present for said event)
    4. Music is one of my passions - studied for 14 years.
    5. I have an unnatural love of Baseball and Hockey (for a girl, at least)
    6. I can do basic maintenance on my own car
    7. Traveling is another passion of mine - been to 38 states, so far.
    8. There has only ever been one time I've had a man buy me a drink at a bar.
    9. I have been on ESPN
    10. I believe in paying it forward. I coordinate a lot of charity events, and I volunteer with various community organizations to better the lives of those around me.


    I've had fun reading everyone else's 10 things! So great to see what you all have accomplished, what you enjoy doing, and who you are as a person!

    1. I was a sax player in high school and college. I wear the band geek badge proudly. B)
    2. Painting is a hobby of mine.
    3. I love baseball. I can sit and watch the MLB network for a good portion of the day, if I wanted to! (GOT HEEEEEMMMMM!!!)
    4. Music is one of my passions (See #1) and I listen to music 50% of the day, at least.
    5. I like watching Country Western movies.
    6. I also know how to twirl a flag.
    7. I love learning about the history of cities.
    8. I graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Social Sciences. (H2P)
    9. I would love to be a baseball blogger someday, or at least do a baseball podcast.
    10. I love German Shepherds!

    2. I was very shy until the age of 18 when I started waitressing.
    3. I hate chocolate.
    4. At one time I had 13 cats because I kept bringing home strays, and my mom was as weak as I.
    5. I got married at 17.
    6. I can sing but can't play an instrument to save my life.
    7. My sister and I look like twins even though she's 2 years older than me, they mistook me for her at her own wedding.
    8. I was in JROTC in High School, can march and all that.
    9. I love rainy days.
    10. I'm sarcastic and mean (in jest of course) to my friends, but nice to people I don't like.

    6. I was in the reserve defence forces for 17 years
    7. I am a clean freak and my favourite smell is dettol
    8. I never eat ham or bacon I can't stand the smell or look of it
    9. I don't use or buy any products tested on animals or with animal bi-products in them
    10. I regret not losing weight for my 2012 wedding so that I could have worn a nicer dress.

    7. I was told by a high school counselor to stay away from science related fields in college because I'm not good at those (see 1, 2, and 3).

    1. I am starting my journey to nursing school
    2. I used to eat more than 3000 calories a day
    3. If you have a head full of dandruffs I will gladly scratch them. I like the way they look(don't judge me)

    5. I am deathly afraid of seagulls
    6. I don't like to look people in the eye(just feels awkward)

    8. I hope to one day get married. Maybe sooner than later

    1. I have two dogs.
    2. One of my dogs out-weighs me.
    3. The other one will out-weigh the one that currently out-weighs me when he grows up. (sheesh, don't try to decipher that sentence unless you're sober... LOL)
    4. I also have a cat.
    5. My cat is the 'alpha-dog'.
    6. When I was in high school I played Trombone, Baritone AND Tuba... and this one time, in band camp... (I kid)
    7. Instead of taking a music scholarship to college, I joined the Army (no longer in, though).
    8. I get nervous talking to groups of people, so I got a job where I HAVE TO talk to large groups of people.
    9. I have two tattoos.
    10. I got both of them when I was younger and had been drinking a little too much.
