Getting to a healthy weight

So I haven't had any rude wakeup calls or anything, no traumatic experiences that made me rethink my ideals, but I'm coming from a career in food service that's left me... a bit heavier than I should be. Don't get me wrong, I didn't feel unhealthy, and I certainly didn't feel overweight, but at 5'11" and 220 lbs at the top of the scale, even my doctor was telling me about my BMI.

Maybe two months ago I was 220, and after getting my eating under control (and weathering the holidays), I'm down to 192 and ideally hoping to get near 150 sometime this year. That's what I've been told would be the ideal weight for me.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this endeavor.

150 pounds is ideal for a 5'11 inch male?? I am in trouble! lol
  • That's what I've been reading, and I know I was at that exact weight not but 6 years ago, so it's not impossible in the slightest. Though, my doctor told me that I should at least shoot for 180, which is at the top of the healthy range.
