Hello,
I have been offered a job which requires the majority of the work to be done from home. Does anyone have any feedback on whether the isolation of working alone can actually increase instances of depression?
I have been struggling with depression for most of my life and although I am currently ok, the times come where the depression is back with a vengence (I am medicated).

I too suffer from depression (atypical) and have so far avoided medication. I was unemployed for almost a year and didn't find that my depression was affected by staying home. I tried to workout and maintain set meal times. I suspect it's a very individual thing though because I sometimes get bad bouts of depression in the office. It's open plan and can be overwhelming for me with the lack of privacy and contact sensory overload. My dream is to one day work from home so of you're not taking the job tell them I'll do it!! Lol!

    Thank you.
I had always thought that this would be my ideal type of job (I am also in an open office and tend to get too drawn into all the 'stuff'.
I am a little worried now that this is an actual possibility.
