hi everyone, I'm looking for any one with advice, tips, or tricks to help keep my fingers off food, and/or how you stay under your caloric intake...

Eat protein in the morning. Protein gives you a full feeling... which means eat hard boiled egg..... protein food first .... so that you don't eat sugar filled foods and then you're hungry two hours later. Drink two glasses of water before every meal... You want to feel full.... Pre cut vegetables like carrots, celery, lettuce.... and that's what you snack on... Promise yourself you will not buy candy , cookies, cakes... for a while.... Mark a day on your calendar when you will allow it... just one day per month... not often..... and then keep in touch with people here.... in MFP... who offer a sincere, caring , kick in the pants.... to stay true to your goal. :D
  • Thanks, I've been at this for a while now with no support groups. I like the idea of the pre-cut veggies, it's just finding something to have with them other than high calorie dips. Also I took your advice about protein & pre-made some hard boiled eggs that are waiting in the fridge to just grab & go (with 3 little ones, that really makes life easier!)

I like to sip on something like coffee, tea or a smoothie. If I want to snack and am actually hungry if I want something crunchy you go to is cucumber slices with chili powder and/or hummus. If I was something sweet I'll have some strawberries with a dollop of whip cream.

Eat corns just a single corn at a time , after 5 or 6 minutes u will feel that you have had enough and at that point of time drink a glass of water. :)
